Hey. I’m Subir Bhaduri – the chief mistake maker at smalldesign.in!
I am passionate about making stuff, systems design and deeply curious about science, technology and society. My graduation was in physics, then a masters in the atmospheric sciences and then a PhD in internal combustion engines. Currently i do a lot of electronics and some mechanical design/fabrication. So i don’t know what am i ? An engineer or a scientist or just maybe field agnostic.
I am versatile with tools and techniques, with skills ranging from workshop level stuff (metal work, welding, CAD, etc) to electronics (CAD, circuit design, testing, etc) to programming (embedded and otherwise) to some math, physics and data analysis . I am a hardcore freelancer by nature and my workshop is my second home. I divide my time between commercial projects (where i earn) and philanthropic social projects (where i loose). Here’s a list of stuff i’v made over the past 2 decades.
I love to explore the contexts of technology within our society, and often blog about it. Sometimes i teach bewildered students so that i can learn something new.
You can contact me by email – subirbhaduri gmail com or subir at smalldesign dot in. I’m always happy to listen, discuss and collaborate.
